Which airline to go for? London to Beijing?

Going home for summer holiday and booking my tickets in advance (just in case if ticket prices go crazy due to the upcoming olympics game lol). im thinking of Qatar or Etihad Airways. so obviously, this would include a stopover at either Doha or Abu Dhabi airport. ive never been to these 2 airports nor am i familar with them. so therefore i would be grateful it if u could provide some useful information as to how easy or difficult to transfer at these 2 airports? are the customes people nice? etc,. note that in either way, my connecting time would be less than 2 hours, thats why im a bit worried cuz i dont want to end up having myself sat on the airplane and my luggage left at the airport, since its usually the case when u have a short period of time for ur transit.
on other note, ive been told that these 2 airlines are some of the best around. but which one is better? in terms of the richness of their in-flight entertainment system, food and leg room space and alike.

I’m not sure I would worry about the airlines all that much. I would just go for the cheapest flight available. However, if money is no object or if you just crave quality airlines, check out. I just found it the other day, and it apparently ranks the quality of the flight (airports involved, airlines, etc) along with the price. I didn’t find the prices all that great, but you might be interested in the quality ranking feature.
