I would like to go to work in Paris when I’m done with pastry school. Does anyone know how I can go about finding a family to live with and rent a room. Craig’s List has gotten a little scary.

I’m thinking of moving to London in the UK. What do you guess the average monthly rent for a room in Zone 2 is?

i was planning to go to new york in August and find rent (like a private room in a shared apartment)
my worry is, since so many students are starting their semester in September, it may be difficult to find a room in August.
is it easier to find a room like in june or july?
how is the situation like during summer?

I want to know how much rent is roughly for a room or apartment in London? I dont like to share with strangers so It has to be on my own? and do Londoners own cars or is the tube facilities sufficient for your transport needs?
