I am a single 54 year old Caucasian male who plans to retire to Paris in 5 years. I will be living on a fixed pension until Social Security kicks in. I will have some insurance through my former employer but plan to purchase supplemental insurance. I will also have a modest 401k to supplement my income. I plan to rent a one bedroom apartment and eat out as much as possible. I am also thinking of enrolling in University to work on a Ph.d. I already have a J.D. \\ What is the cost to rent an unfurnished apartment near the City center? How many euros a month are necessary to live comfortably?

It looks like the nearest train station is in Evron (14 miles from Mayenne). Should I take the train to Evron and then find a ride from Evron to Mayenne? Is there a bus from Evron to Mayenne? Or should I just rent a car in Paris and drive to Mayenne?

My fiancee and I are thinking about moving to Paris, but all I can find are short term, furnished cottages, chateaus, and flats. I’d like to find a website where I can look up long term, non-tourist flats.

I’m taking part in a road trip through Europe this summer and I was wondering if it were possible for a 17 y/o to rent a hotel room there. A link to a database or where the information was retrieved from would be great.
Thanks

To France. By that time I would be 18 or 19. What are some good paying jobs in France that would be fun for me to do? Like in Paris that would pay for apartment rent and spending for other things.
I am planning on attending school in paris france too
