rent apartment tokyo

hello everyone, i’m going to stay in japan for 1 year and half, starting from
October as a student.

I’ll need to rent an apartment (i prefer with private bathroom and kitchen, even very small and not so new, i dont care).

You think 60-65,000 yen/month is enough as budget for renting a place like that?

Also, when should i start looking for an apartment and contacting the agencies? (i will enter japan approx on 1st-2nd October)

Thanks!

Long term stay in Beijing?

rent beijing

I’m planing to stay in Beijing for six months with my wife and one year old son. Does anyone have any recommendations for housing? Can you find apartments for rent? If so, how much do they cost (we’re trying to stay on the cheap). We’d like a 1 bedroom with our own bathroom if possible. Also, we’d like to stay near Haidian (University District). Thanks for any help you can provide. We’re trying to plan a loose budget.

Accommodation in London?

london apartment rent short

My friend and his wife (both Indians) will go to London in a week. Although his wife will be working in Canary Wharf, my friend (MBA + Engineer + 2 years’ experience) will have to look for a job there.

Since they have never been to London earlier, please help them by providing answers to the questions below.

1. Which will be the best suited locality for their accommodation, considering their budget for this is approx GBP 500-600 per month? They will look for a furnished or a semi-furnished apartment in a locality which will be convenient for his wife as well as him for job-search.

2. Is there any short term rental agreements in London? I found that in most cases it is for six months.

3. Do they have to pay any advance rental to the land lord or agency? If yes, how much?

4. To get an apartment on rent, what all documents are needed?

5. Do they need to pay any commission to the agent?

6. Can you suggest some web sites or newspapers, which can be helpful in finding accommodatio

Apartments for rent in Tokyo area?

rent apartment tokyo

I’m currently planning my trip to Tokyo. I’m looking for work there (I know that I need a work visa in this case) and also am looking for a place to live at.

I’m very tight on budget (well, not very, but the cheaper the better). Could be just a one-room apartment.
I don’t really feel like having any roommates.
I’d prefer the area to be pretty safe for a girl to walk alone in the evening.
Websites for that kind of stuff are welcome.
Are there any rooms/apartments for rent that are located, for example, above family restaurants and such?

And also, preferably Ikebukuro (I think I almost got a job there). Could you, please, also tell me what it’s like to live in Ikebukuro? What’s good? What’s not?

Thank you :)
