rent apartment tokyo

I am going to Tokyo for 6 moths for part of my gap year. I want to attempt to learn Japanese.
I know Japan is one of the most expensive places but would it be less expensive if I stayed in with a friend who already has an apartment there? It is a one bedroom but its big enough for both of us. I would share the rent and stuff.
Would that be cheaper than getting a place my self?

rent london flat

I’ve been to London several times, but I still don’t know the city very well. (It’s a BIG city). But I am looking for advice on the best location to rent a 1 or 2 bedroom flat for a few months.

By “the best location”, I don’t mean the fanciest. I just mean:

1.Safe – (my wife may be there alone while I travel occassionally),
2. Reasonable in terms of rent per week or per month. If it matters, my lodging budget is around 850 pounds per month.
3. I don’t need to live in central London, but convenience to a tube station would be nice, with a travel time into central London of less than a half-hour.

Are my requirements unreasonable? Is my rent budget too low? I know London is one of the most expensive cities in the world in which to live.

Thanks!

rent london flat

I’m planning to move there.
Can anyone give me information about the monthly cost of renting a flat near that area in London?
And maybe how much does it cost for daily things like food and laundry…

Any advice will be useful :)
Thanks!
